Musical improvisations in response to looping video clips, in collaboration with Slow Dance • 22/3/19
Music collides with film as a collective of musicians respond to 8 loops created by artists Mathias Karl Gontard, Natalie Moutrey, Will Nicholls & Jake Vine (1), Felix Bayley-Higgins, Alice Bloomfield, Amy Douglas-Morris & Luis Jacobs (2) in two improvised 30 minute sets.
The musicians were asked to respond for a total of 30 minutes to the films which were looped in groups of four - with each film being projected on a separate screen, surrounding the musicians on all sides. with everyone - including the musicians - experiencing it simultaneously, and for the first time.
